Interview
The first round interview was pretty straightforward. They wanted to see my interest in the research space, looking at privately held companies in technology. No technicals were asked by the two individuals over Zoom, but a ton of interest questions. My interest wasn't there entirely, hence, I didn't make it to the next round. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The two people seemed nice and pleasant to be around, just from the vibes they gave off during the call.
Interview Questions
I was prepping for the questions to be about private credit funds or things of that nature, and it turns out that they rarely even look at that in the private markets. They wanted me to explain my interests in private market research (something that I don't have much experience in) so that was somewhat difficult for me. Other than that, I thought I was able to answer the majority of the behaviorals thoroughly.
