Interview
In my PNC interview, I was asked a mix of technical and behavioral questions. On the technical side, they wanted to confirm that I was comfortable with basic programming and statistical concepts. For example, I was asked to explain what a for loop is in Python and how it can be used to iterate through data, as well as what a p-value represents in hypothesis testing and decision-making. These questions tested whether I could clearly explain fundamental concepts, not just use them.

On the behavioral side, the focus was more on motivation and career goals. I was asked why I wanted to work at PNC specifically and what I hoped to do in the future. The interviewer wanted to understand how my interests aligned with PNC’s culture and opportunities for growth. Overall, the interview balanced technical competency with personal fit, and my takeaway is that PNC values both analytical ability and a clear sense of direction.
