Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interviews consisted of several rounds of phone interviews. The first couple rounds were with an analyst and an intern and went extremely well. They were very professional and I felt like we connected well. Then came the interview with the Managing Partner. She was extremely condescending and made the whole interview very uncomfortable from the beginning. There was a minor miscommunication (basically poor wording in an email to me from an intern setting up the call with the Managing Partner), therefore I was expecting her to call me for the interview. Several minutes after the scheduled call time, she calls me to which I answer energetically. She proceeds to go off on me for several minutes about how could I have ever thought that she was supposed to call me for the interview (honestly, this was the first time I had ever done a phone interview where I apparently was supposed to call them) because she would be my boss and blah blah blah. To which I apologized and remained professional. So after listening to her tirade for several minutes, she finally decides to begin the interview. She asks me several questions (the whole time I knew she had already decided I wasn't getting the job) and I answer them to the best of my ability. Then I ask her a couple questions. All of her answers were incredibly sarcastic and unprofessional. If anything, this interview was good practice for me (as she and I both knew from the beginning of that phone call that I wasn't getting the job).
