Interview
Initial phone call with a junior member. First phone call was around behavioral questions with basic technical questions. Were given a case study to outline investment merits / risks. Had superday with a number of 2 v 1 interviews plus excel exercise. Interviews were around behavior questions, technical questions, and case study questions.
Interview Questions
Difficult: questions around the case study; really more trying to get you to think on your feet i.e. why did you say this but did you think about that etc? In technical questions also had to do a fund comparison exercise so given two funds with various facts on each. Had to pick one to invest in and why did you pick that one. I don't think there was a right answer given that the two people who interviewed me both selected different ones. Some of the behavioral questions were very deep. Got into a lot on that side
