Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Recruited by headhunter to interview with PSG (Peovidence strategic growth). Had a one on one with HR and then a one on one intro meeting with two PE professionals.
Interview Questions
They asked me how a dividend recapitalization impacts the 3 financial statements. This question was tricky because dividends in an LBO are modeled differently than in a div recap because of 100% cash flow sweep. They also asked me to walk me through my deals and my resume in general. They asked about specific ties to Boston which unfortunately I did not have. They also wanted me to elaborate on why PE to the point where I did not really have any more room to expand (make sure you have a great great answer to this)

Interview
I was contacted by a headhunter after completing two years in investment banking. My interviews included meeting with an HR person and then meeting with several members of the private equity team in one on one interviews. At the end of the interviews, I had to take a modeling exam. Using filings for a public company I built an LBO model from a blank excel and then I explained it to a couple interviewers and answered questions about the company and my model inputs. I had a few hours to do the model.

The interviews were very fit based. Not many technical questions. Mostly walk through resume, talk about deals you worked on, etc. All of the interviewers were very nice.
Interview Questions
Why might a radio company and a newspaper company trade at different multiples? Which one would trade higher? If both had similar growth, EBITDA margin, and risk profiles, why might they trade at different EBITDA multiples?

I responded by talking about industry trends, that newspaper was declining more than radio, and that newspaper probably required more ongoing capex.
