Interview
1st round was a quick phone screen. The guy was very casual and laid back. I had a lot of investment banking experience so after asking one technical he figured I was good in that regard. I then had a 2 hour zoom interview (four 30 min interviews) with people ranging from Analyst to VP. Most interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical. Some behaviorals and technicals were very straightforward while others were hard. Example questions: why food and agriculture m&a? Investment Banking is a very demanding career, how do you know you won't struggle? Talk about a recent M&A deal that you followed? I saw you were in a student managed fund, can you give me a mock stock pitch you did?  Can you tell me about a time where you had full ownership over a project at work, and either how you worked through it yourself or how you worked with a team to get to the end result? What is your most annoying trait? Why should we hire you? Overall I found the team very nice and they all spoke highly of the culture and seemed to know everyone well despite it being a big team.
