Interview
Very straightforward process. Spoke on the phone with my future manager, passed his smell test and went in to the store.
Interview Questions
I was asked to walk through a difficult past situation with a customer. I emphasized that one needed to remain calm and take care of any requests regardless of the situation at hand. From there, I also learned that I had to find a fine line between paying too much attention to the customer and leaving them on their own. From there I was asked to sell the manager the most expensive thing in the store, a silk suit that had recently come in. From there the interviewer decided it was time to move on to questions for him.

Contacted by hiring manager to se tup first round interview. First round was to gauge general interest and to see if I was a fit.
Interview Questions
I was asked to sell an imaginary collection of clothing to a particularly unresponsive client. The whole process was a stress test to see how I would respond to someone being particularly rude or unresponsive. Because of this, I was force to dig in and find a unique pitch by which to separate my long list of different items from those of another store. From there I was asked to talk about my personal selling philosophy and what I found to be the most important aspect of connecting with each individual client.

Interview
Hiring process was very easy and straightforward. Had a call with the recruiter who then told me I should come in for an interview.
Interview Questions
Truthfully, there was nothing particularly difficult. The interviewer was kind and got straight to the point which I appreciated. We spoke a bit about past retail experience and why I was interested in the particular job. However, he did ask me to pretend that I was a sales associate and walk him through a sale. Although an obvious test, it was not particularly and he let me off pretty easy. From there, he spent most of the remaining time asking me what I knew about the company. It was apparent that past research was key.
