The superday was much more intense and since it was the last superday and only one for non-targets, everyone came to play. The interviews were very fit based because they wanted to see if they could sit next to me for 12 hours and then go have a beer after work. I had no technicals thrown at me and no brainteasers either. A lot of the questions were market based like what do you see rates doing over the next 6 mnths etc. After the interviews, you walk back out into the lobby and if you did well enough, you get taken onto the floor to network more. This is what really helped me out, the chance to spend 5 minutes on a bunch of different desks allowed more people to get a view on me. HR's eyes are always on you, so definitely be outgoing and introduce yourself to all of the other applicants.
RBS has an awesome building with a gym and good food and the trading floor is enormous. The reason why I accepted the offer was because of the quality of people and the culture at RBS. I got along extremely well with everyone and I fit in well with culture. RBS may catch a lot of heat but they do hire and retain some incredible talent.
