Interview
Applied online through a staffing agency. Took over a month to get a call from the staffing agency, but after that the process moved along pretty swiftly. One phone interview with the staffing agency and then they sent me in to interview with the portfolio managers. I met with 1 jr. portfolio manager who would soon get more dollars to manage and then I met with the head of the division. This was for a USD and CAD core fixed income role (treasuries, FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA) so we talked casually about the Fed and some other macro factors at work. Nothing too technical.
Interview Questions
The head of portfolio management was very product-focused. We talked about prepayment expectations for a few different mortgage-backed products.
