I was then scheduled for a call with the St. Louis team (O&G group). Hit it off with the interviewer. Did not get any technical questions. More conversationally, spoke about my deals in the past and why St. Louis. I made a mention of an alumnus at Baird and that helped too (alumni is an MD in DC area for Real Estate group).
Maybe a week or two (or three) later I got an email from the HR congratulating me that the interviewer enjoyed speaking with me and that Baird wants to move on the process.
Next, she set up a two-hour slot (mutually came up with a time for the next round) to complete an LBO model and a writing section. This test was to be done at home and emailed back to the HR.
A few weeks later (maybe a week or two) I followed up asking for updates. The HR said they are trying to set up in-person interviews. I followed up two more times, once each week and got a similar response each time.
I think after about a month from the LBO email test I got an email from the HR manager who asked if I'd be available for other industries in other locations.
A week from then, I was scheduled for an in-person interview in Milwaukee for the tech and services group.
They flew me in and had four rounds of interviews (half an hour each). Three rounds were behavior/personality/weakness interviews and one round was technical. In the technical round, the interviewer made me fill in a sheet with I/S, B/S, and C/F along with a pro-foma (all for two years). He walked me step by step and asked me to tell him what I was doing and why (I was telling him why at each step but he kind of expected me to tell anyway).
