Investment Banking Analyst

I was referred to the position by a friend who knew someone at Baird. I had a 30 minute interview with a mid-level banker that primarily focused on fit/behavioral questions.
My impression of the firm was very positive. It seemed like they have decent deal flow and the teams are very lean, so junior bankers have a lot of responsibilities. The interviewer described it as working one level above your pay grade, so analysts will be doing some work that associates typically do at BBs, associates taking on some VP responsibilities, etc.
I was notified a week later that they had already filled up their analyst class and would not be interviewing any more candidates.
