Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I applied online for the SA position in London's office. After a couple of days I received an email in German which (I'm not a German speaker, so had to translate it) said that I am invited to the phone interview. I replied to it in English, thanking for the invitation and indicating my availability. The next day I received an email - in German again - asking why am I replying in English, as German language is a prerequisite for interning in their Frankfurt office. It then was clear that my application ended up in Frankfurt. I asked the HR lady to transfer it to London and after couple of days I was invited to a phone interview with an analyst and associate. The interview was very technical (DCF etc), with couple of motivational questions such as why M&A instead of consulting and what do I think of long hours. Guys on the other side were quite helpful and gave hints if I was struggling. The interview lasted for around an hour, I received feedback within couple of days and was invited to their London office, where I went through personality, language and maths tests as well as an interview with their COO and a HR member. No technical questions this time, just motivation checking. I received an offer after 1 week.
