Interview
I applied online and received an email to schedule a phone interview the next week. Following that it took a couple weeks to set up the next interview in which I had a brief interview with a VP. Questions were experience and fit focused. I was asked to submit a sample writing following this. The next interview occurred a week after, in which I had a writing test and spoke to more VPs within the company. Did not receive an offer.
Interview Questions
The most difficult portion of the interview was some more technical statistical questions by one of the VPs which involved me analyzing a time series of a real estate data point and would have to say what's wrong with using certain data points as evidence for the research. The writing test was unexpected as I had already submitted a writing sample, however it was not very difficult. I was presented with a real estate and economics forecast that the company developed and was asked to produce a writing sample highlighting the major points for a hypothetical client. I had 30 minutes to do so.
