Overall Ranking (NA)

The Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

The Overall Ranking is generated based on the Company Reviews.

Company Details

Sageview Capital LP is an investment firm with over approximately $800 million of assets under management that brings a "private equity approach" to public and private. They are long-term investors with a target investment horizon of three to five years or longer. They engage constructively and collaboratively with a company's management team and board of directors. Their approach is never hostile.
They are focused on generating attractive risk-adjusted returns through a rigorous and disciplined security selection process based on intensive fundamental research. They seek to acquire substantial ownership stakes at attractive valuations in great businesses, characterized by high returns on capital, substantial free cash flow generation, attractive growth opportunities, sustainable barriers to entry, and strong management teams. We run a concentrated portfolio and so at any given time will have ten to twelve core investments.
The employees of Sageview Capital are collectively the single largest investor in their fund.
Sageview was founded in 2006 by Edward A. Gilhuly and Scott M. Stuart , two former executives of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., L.P. ("KKR"). Founded in 1976, KKR is one of the world's largest global private equity firms. Messrs. Gilhuly and Stuart were at KKR from 1986 to 2005 and became partners at the end of 1994. Both served on KKR's five-member investment committee from its inception in 2000 until their departure in 2005. They were involved directly in 28 transactions where $8.9 billion of equity capital was invested and together sat on 34 boards of directors.
