Interview
Generally hire after 2 years of investment banking, with occasional exceptions for operationally focused candidates with finance experience. The process had some fit but really dove in on experience. In banking, we are used to the typical "walk me through a DCF" type of questions. In this environment, they are assessing how meaningful you have been in past deals and in past roles. Expect to go into detail on any deal you list from your analyst career both from a financial perspective and from a qualitative / strategic rationale perspective. Also have a fully baked argument on what sectors within technology you find interesting and why. Lastly, why growth VC and no early stage, or buyout?

Along with all of these, they assess your ability to speak well very highly. The role includes some sourcing, so they want to be confident they can put you in front of a company CEO. Highlighting client interaction will be helpful.
