Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Pretty stand interview process. The phone screen mostly consisted of my background and prior banking experience. They asked about a couple of transactions I worked on. Also standard why us question. Very casual talked about a mutual interest for most of it.
Interview Questions
Nothing too technical, standard questions you would expect from the 400 guides. I had to walk them through my resume. They asked about a couple of clubs I was involved in on-campus. They asked about my prior experience in banking. I walked them through a couple of transactions I worked on at my last them. They asked what role I served in those transactions. They asked a couple of industry specifics questions nothing too crazy. Be an interesting person and you'll be fine. The interview and I chatted about a couple of my hobbies.

Interview
The process consisted of an initial phone interview with HR.

Having passed that stage, the next step was a typical consulting case study, of about an hour, which followed a 15 minute "fit" interview. The case was not specific to the focus of the company. Note that this was all on the phone.

After that, there followed another similar case study, also via phone, this one however was much more quantitatively focused than the previous, which as it transpired was intentional. Also one hour long, with 15 minutes of fit questions.

The next stage was an excel based case study. This was an hour and a half long, and differed in that I shared screens with the interviewer over Skype.

The final round would have been an interview in their offices, however I was rejected after the excel case study.
Interview Questions
Tell me about your biggest weakness.

Slightly uncommon but not unheard of question, my response revolved around working within teams, especially getting used to different backgrounds. Got through this round so must have been acceptable.
What metric would a ski resort use to give a proxy for amount of people who visited over a given period?

The answer they were looking for was the ski-lift capacity. From there the number of people was estimated using the frequency of the lift and other given information.
