What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I took a number of online tests and then visited them at my university's career fair. Afterwards, I was invited to a phone interview with one of university alumni. The interview was almost elusively based on behavioral questions and followed the format described on website where I was asked to demonstrate the CAR principles on their website.
I was asked to describe:
Why Energy?
Why Shell?
Strength and Weaknesses.
A time I made a mistake.
A time I demonstrated cultural awareness.
How I would handle disagreeing with my boss.
A time I dealt with a difficult teammember.
My biggest successes and failures.
Afterwards, they asked for a copy of my unofficial transcript and then I was sent an email about a month later saying they did not have any positions open that fit my skill set.
