Fixed Income Intern

Sent out an email to the accounting and finance departments at the University of Missouri. Firm would be very open to anyone that applied.

Initially had a phone screen to get info on why fixed income over equities, what do you bring to the table, career aspirations, etc. Phone interview was not bad.

Next stage was a group interview on campus. Very behavioral, some softball technical such as "explain a mortgage backed security."

They called back a week after the interview and I was offered the job pending a drug test.

Great place if you are a student at a local school, they will give you as much responsibility as you earn and the lean team allows the intern to develop incredibly quickly.
