Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Started with the first round of interviews mainly questions on DCF, CAPM, WACC, modeling, etc. Round two involved a 2 hour test were you're given a hard copy of the company's financials and you're expected to punch in the numbers, projections, and run a DCF + PPT to back your decision of whether you should buy the target company or not.
The balance sheet alone extended on to two pages. Crunching the numbers and tying the historical 3 statements would take a minimum of 30-45 minutes. I guess they just didn't know how to design the test.. the test was unreasonable rather than difficult.
