Interview
From my point of view, the hiring journey began with a recruiter’s email that set up a single, 45‑ to 60‑minute video interview with a panel of senior finance leaders; the conversation opened with a behavioral prompt about navigating a crossroads in a nonprofit’s funding model, then shifted to a finance‑focused case where I was asked to outline the key metrics (order backlog, book‑to‑bill ratio, service margin, free‑cash‑flow conversion, R&D intensity) I would use to benchmark Siemens Energy against rivals such as GE Vernova and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, followed by a deep‑dive on my familiarity with Power BI and Tableau for financial reporting, a rapid‑research exercise to produce actionable insights within a day, and a discussion of the collaborative, low‑competition culture that emphasizes high‑output workdays ending around 6‑7 pm; the interview closed with my questions about the team’s workflow and a clear timeline—decision by early next week communicated via email.
Interview Questions
“Imagine senior leadership asks you to benchmark Siemens Energy against its competition. What metrics would you prioritize and what would you focus on?”
Question: “I noticed you never mentioned any generative‑AI tools. Is this a distrust of gen‑AI?”
“If you were given a strategic topic you know virtually nothing about and needed actionable insights by tomorrow, what would be your process?”

Interview Questions
Job interviews are tough. If you're not well-prepared, some questions can leave you frantically searching for an answer, says Barry Drexler, an expert interview coach who has conducted more than 10,000 interviews.

With over 30 years of HR experience at notable companies like Lehman Brothers and Lloyds Bank Group, Drexler says these are the seven questions that always trip people up:

1. What are your weaknesses?
On one hand, you don't want to give a weakness that will make you lose out on the job. On the other hand, you're still expected to deliver an answer.

Drexler says the best way to attack this question is to give a natural weakness that everyone deals with and to not dwell on it. Then immediately follow up with whatever actions you've taken to counter your weakness. And finally, explain the results that you've achieved by fixing it. He gives this example:

Weakness: When I make a

I applied via on campus recruiting and I had a 1st round interview where I was asked mostly fit questions and I had one technical at the end of the interview.
Interview Questions
Nothing was too difficult in the interview. It was almost all behavioral stuff. The hardest thing was the case study on the super day. The super day consisted of three morning interviews that were all 1 hour long. Then there was a 1 hours case study were they randomly put you into groups. The case was not too hard they were mainly just looking for how you worked as a team. Then to end the super day there was a panel and you had to ask good question about the program and siemens as a whole. That was it.

Interview
Applied online, and got a call by a recruiter to interview in person at a Siemens locally. Was told after that there was an interview in Georgia that they fly you to.
Interview Questions
Most of the questions were basic. The first question posed was to just tell them about myself. After that we went over my resume step by step. Some example questions asked involved leadership positions and how I would react in certain situations. The interview was held by 3 people that wrote down stuff as you were talking. It threw me off because I was expecting to only talk to one person. Towards the end of the interview they asked more technical questions relating to accounting that I was not prepared for.

Interview Questions
Siemens was a great experience. First, there was a presentation and then we had to undergo case study and 2 interview rounds for the process to complete. This took less than a month to complete.

Some of the questions that were asked during our interview process were as follows:

Why Siemens?
Tell me about an instance where you showed leadership at work?
Tell me more about the instances where you came up with big innovations at work?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
What do you do to be healthy?

Career fair led to short 15 min on campus interview, then a superday with a dinner. They put you up at a hotel, then the following morning there is 4 interviews and a group case study.
Interview Questions
All the interviews were pretty standard except for one which was very unconventional. The employee mainly talked about his business philosophy, but then would jump in with questions and challenge your answers. Asked do you consider yourself a leader?

Questions where
What is a time you had to complete something with only part of the information?
How would you calculate supporting costs?
Talk about a time where you had to convince others to go with your idea.
Tell me something that's not on your resume.
Why corporate finance instead of investment banking?
Are you really willing to travel?
How would you go about telling a manager they were wrong?
