Interview
Applied for Silvercrest Asset Management's Portfolio Assistant role via the careers section on the firms corporate website.

Initial communication transpired via email, with HR making contact about a week after I submitted the application.

The introductory interview took place over the phone. Not technical, very superficial, culture / fit-oriented. Was asked more about my habits and values as an individual, as opposed to professional experience or reason for being interested in the position.

Following the telephone interview, I was contacted about five days later for a teleconference interview with the job's hiring manager. This was more of what I had anticipated the first call going over; experience, education, ability to interface internally and externally, etc. Very friendly conversation, still not very technical. My sense is that S.A.M. places a strong priority on personality, and being committed to the firm for the long-haul. HR had boasted about high employee retention rates and a deeply collaborative office environment.
Interview Questions
The most unexpected questions pertained to how I manage time "in a unique way," which was just strangely worded?
