Intern Interview - Investment Banking
About a week later, I was invited to the final round, which was a Superday with three 30 minute interviews all on the same day. The first two were with associates and VPs and had a mix of behavioral and technical questions. Technicals were pretty standard, valuation methods, walking through a DCF, and a few accounting link questions. The vibe was conversational, and they were more interested in how you reasoned through your answers than in catching small mistakes.
The last interview was with a director and leaned more toward markets and motivation. We talked about recent M&A activity in Europe, how rising rates might affect deal flow, and SocGen’s position compared to other European banks. Overall, the process was structured but not overly formal. Everyone I met was professional, friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know you.
