I first applied online (LinkedIn), then I got a screening call with a recruiter, and lastly I interviewed in person. The in-person interview was the last round, and it was a yes/no. I got a 2-1 interview. They asked basic behavioral questions, asked me about things on my resume, and what I knew about the firm. It was mostly an informational interview. They walked me through day to day of their work life as well as what I will do. Lastly, I got a tour of the building. I would say the interview process is pretty easy.

The process consisted of three interviews. The first was an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, primarily focused on a walkthrough of my CV and an assessment of cultural fit. This was followed by a technical interview with three members of the team, covering risk measures, quantitative projects, and fundamental machine learning concepts. The final stage was an interview with the head of the department.
Interview Questions
One of the most challenging and unexpected questions was a technical discussion on mortgage-backed securities (MBS). I was asked to explain the structure of MBS products, key risk drivers such as prepayment and extension risk, and how changes in interest rates affect cash flows and valuation. The discussion also touched on modelling assumptions and the limitations of standard prepayment models.
