Interview
I applied through on campus recruiting, got an email scheduling my interview, and I met with two associates from different offices to conduct the interview. The interviewers did not know each other and did not have good chemistry and basically just read off of a sheet without trying to make any real conversation. My advice is to know everything you can about small private mergers because that's all the firm does.
Interview Questions
They started off by asking me to go through my resume and talk about education and previous internship, which is easy enough if you have prepared for interviews before. Then they ask some simple financial questions about enterprise value, WACC, and DCF. Then they have you walk them through a merger and how the firm advises its clients in mergers. This is the most important question of the interview and you should be able to go through it with confidence and ease because it basically is the only thing they want since the other questions are all very easy.
