The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
I initially applied via doostang, and received a phone call a day later from one of the partners. We scheduled a formal phone interview for the following day. During the phone interview, it was basically asking about my resume, why the move to NYC (from boston), and assessing how I would fit in / like working for a small shop. Two days after the phone interview, the same partner called me back asking if I could come to NYC to meet with the entire team. We scheduled the interview for a week or so later. On the day of the in person interviews, I met with everyone at the associate level and above, including all partners. There were very few technical questions as 90% of the interviews were fit/personality type assessments. Overall a very congenial and positive experience.
Interview Questions
Only technical question was how depreciation expense affected all three financial statements.
Also, while it wasn't asked of me, they sometimes ask candidates to give a presentation during the in person interviews. An assignment is given a week before, and candidates are asked to prepare a brief presentation to support their argument.
