1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The 12 finalists were invited to dinner the night before the first round interview. It was pretty awkward personally interacting with a few of the team members while also interacting with people you are directly competing with. I did like the gesture to get to know us better, but I don't believe it helped me personally. The actual interview was not too hard. They asked me one technical math question off the top of my head that I got right (What is the value of a property that produces $4M of NOI at an 8% cap rate). They wanted someone who would work in both asset management and acquisitions, which is a negative if you are like me and want to stay strictly on the acquisitions side. Overall, a good experience even though I didn't get the offer.
