Business Analyst

I applied to State Street through the Northeastern University career's site.

I was contacted two weeks after sending my application. I set a date and time to interview and prepared by reading up on secondary fixed income markets. I also prepped by learning basic programming skills: SQL, Java, and VBA.

There were three interviews. One with an employee who has a similar role and two with managers.

The office was State Street's headquarters and the interview was on the 26th floor. The office was clean and had widescreens with business news channels running. Each employee had two screens and several had more than three.

I was asked questions regarding bond markets, new regulatory and compliance issures, and my background in Finance, MIS, and IT.
