Founded in 1999 by experienced investment professionals, the Stratus Group is a Brazilian private equity firm focused on investments in the mid-market. The Group specializes in investment situations that are related to growth, sector consolidation and shareholder successions.

Stratus’ approach to mid-market investing is organized in two flagships: Growth Capital / Buyout (sector agnostic – growth capital injections, consolidations and successions) and Cleantech (businesses related to sustainability, such as the rational use of scarce resources, recycling, renewable sources, climate change and the local competitive advantages related to brazilian biodiversity).

In parallel to the private equity investment activity, the Stratus Group also holds interests in the Brazil Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund, managed by an affiliate of Darby Overseas, and in another subsidiary dedicated to Financial Advisory. This entity provides advisory services to Brazilian and foreign companies, in M&A, capital structuring and strategic alliances. The Financial Advisory arm has an exclusively dedicated team and does not provide services to any of the Stratus’ PE funds or their portfolio investments.
