Applied when applications dropped and then signed up for all their on-campus recruiting events. Spent basically the entire day with them for OCR. Did my HireVue later that week and received an interview invite not too long after. Four interviews, 20 minutes each, only one interviewer. No technical questions. Mostly why SMBC and why CIBC. Don't remember being asked any situational questions either. Generally very chill interviewing process. Received the offer the day after my interviews. My advice would be learn as much as you can about SMBC (OCR and the slide decks you can find about their different divisions), networking helps (though I only did 1 coffee chat but they really helped me), and have a strong story to tell about yourself and why SMBC.
