Interview Questions
What is WACC?, walk me through a DCF, how would a 1.5mm building loan affect the 3 financial statements, how would an oil spike affect the price of Disney?

Overall, even though this isn’t investment banking, you should read rosenbaums book and study study study!!! Technicals are a huge part of this interview process. Make sure to know your basic accounting and how everything flows through the three statements. Know it cold. Also know how to build financial models. DCF, LBO, M&A are all important. Good luck!

Interview
I applied online and heard back that I was selected for a phone interview within 2-3 weeks. The phone interview was entirely fit and behavioral questions. I heard back that I was selected for the Super Day within 5 days. I attended the Super Day in Atlanta which consisted of four 1-on-1 interviews. Heard back from the firm after a week.
Interview Questions
The phone interview was mainly fit and behavioral questions like: why SunTrust? Why this position? What is your greatest weakness? Tell me about a time you did not put out your best work, how would you do it differently if given another opportunity? What sort of finance experience do you have? What do you look for in a good manager? Walk me through your resume. The interviewer was very nice and casual. We chatted about Atlanta and Charlotte and some about the merger and then she began with the questions. It flowed much more like a conversation than anything else.

If you could look at one financial statement to give a loan, which would it be? CASH FLOW STATEMENT. B/C ONLY STATEMENT THAT DOES NOT ACCOUNT CREDIT SALES OR NONRECURRING ITEMS AS INCOME FROM REGULAR OPERATIONS. THIS STATEMENT REVEALS THE ACTUAL INFLOW OF CASH THAT THE COMPANY RECEIVED DURING THAT PERIOD. ALSO, BECAUSE THE CASH FLOW STATEMENT REVEALS WHAT CASH HAS BEEN USED FOR, IF CASH CAME IN OR OUT AS A FORM OF INVESTING OR FINANCING ACTIVITIES.
