Portfolio Management Analyst

The interview was a 45-minute phone interview with a managing director. It was almost completely him talking and lecturing me on the job, his experience, etc. The few questions that I did receive, which I only was given moments to answer before he added in his two cents, were: Background/resume, Walk me through the three financial statements, valuation methods, which would you rather lend to, a group of FM radio stations or Sirius/XM radio. In the last question he is looking for the likelihood of the loan being paid, so steer clear of risk.

Also note, although the position was listed as Portfolio Management which is Sun Trust's version of Corporate Credit Risk, he tried to sell it as true investment banking both over the phone, on advertisements, and when speaking of the position in emails. After prodding and reading several descriptions of the job I found out it was credit risk.
