Sophomore Summer Analyst

This is for their sophomore diversity leadership summit. I applied on my school's career services website after learning about the program from Alum of my school. I suspect that I got an interview because an alum I connected with pushed my resume through.

The event consisted of a 1 day diversity conference and networking session. The next day featured a networking breakfast and 2 30 minute interviews with an associate and an MD. The experiences my peers had with these interviews varied greatly. I was asked to go over a DCF in my first interview, and the rest of the conversation simply felt like a networking session/conversation. The second interview with the MD featured questions on DCF, WACC, relative valuation, a stock pitch, walking him through the financial statements. All basic technical questions. Again, technicals didn't seem to be that important. Know your shit and don't make up answers. Fit is definitely more emphasized, particularly at the sophomore level.
