What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Process took less than 3 weeks. Applied online; received email to set up a phone interview. 1:1 phone interview lasted less than 30 minutes with hiring manager. Asked a few questions about background/resume and then went straight into investment process and stock picks. A lot of focus on your thought process and how consistent your style of investing is.
CFA was very important; they seem to not even consider those without progress in the CFA program unless from a top MBA.
Be sure to know and use numbers, recall information from earnings conference calls, financial models you built yourself, etc. They want to see you have prepared and have a well thought out process.
I had time to ask a few questions. They got back to me a few days later with an email saying there were more qualified candidates.
