The recruiter gave an on-the-spot brainteaser puzzle about shortest paths during the campus recruiting session, then someone from the company contacted me for a one-hour phone interview. The phone interview had questions about trading (situation on a certain stock using terminology) as well as statistics questions about binomial distributions.

1. Explain the concept of liquidity, and discuss in which situations would it be preferable to add or remove liquidity when making a stock trade. Your answer must be dependent on the stock itself and not only cover universal/general properties.
