Phone Interview

Interview
The interview process began with a first-round phone interview with an associate that included a mix of behavioral and technical questions. After passing that, I was invited to an online Superday, which consisted of three back-to-back interviews with two associates and a VP. The first two interviews were behavioral, and the third was fully technical. The process was smooth, and the recruiter stayed in contact with me after the interview, keeping me updated on their progress. The culture seems strong relative to other firms I’ve interviewed with.

Interview
Was an interview with TD Securities for their DCM Summer Analyst role in Toronto, Canada. They reached out through email originally to schedule an R1 5 days after I submitted an application. R1s was with a VP of DCM and was mostly market with a couple technical on WACC and TMAY, but spent most of the time talking about interest rates and bond issuance windows. I'd say interview is very person dependent as it could have gone the other way just as easily

I was reached out to by HR to schedule a round 1 interview through email. It took some time to schedule the interview, and I had to follow up to make sure it happened. So that was kind of interesting. I don't know why HR took so long to get back to me. The person I spoke with was very nice and happy. I could tell that he liked his job and liked the people that he worked with. It was a great experience.

I built a connection with multiple people on the team through cold outreach (LinkedIn) and a live introduction while I was interning in New York from a friend. When applications open I was encouraged to apply and received a round 1 interview. The culture at the firm varies from team to team, but they seem to appreciate friendly and social candidates.
