Each interview lasted 45mins to 1hour with members of the team globally.

First Round: Competency interview with analysts and associates
Second Round: Basic technical questions with VP
Third Round: Paper LBO and mini consulting market sizing with a Director
Final Round: Competency interview with an MD
Interview Questions
Paper LBO and mini consulting case combined. Spend at least 30 minutes talking through the case. The case was based on a random portfolio company owned by the private equity firm. Normally they choose an obscure industry to really test your knowledge.

Key emphasis on why emerging markets in all 4 rounds. Could not stress how important that was. within the case study this was highlighted - the emerging market factor so you need to be able to address this. Also the interviewer will be aggressive and question all your answers whether right or not.

Interview followed application online and employe referral. Interview consisted of two rounds one with HR and other with Associate at the firm.

Question numnber one:Asked for how to construst a cash flow statement using other two financial statements and what would be the most important of the three.
Question numnber two: Also asked about how I view situation in Middle East after oil price crash etc. Question number three:Was interested in my long term career goals and why I felt Private Equity in the United Arab Emirates is a good career option for me.
Question four: What investment opportunities in the region do I feel are most attractive and what sectors interest me.
