1st year Analyst

1st round HR screen on campus with an HR agent and an analyst. Asked about my research experience, teamwork, and past professional experience.

Received an e-mail the next day telling me to come in for a super day a week later. Brattle flies you out the night before and puts you up in a pretty nice hotel. Interviewed by 4 analysts/principals 1 on 1 and went to lunch with 2 young analysts. The lunch was a half-interview because they tried to sneak in some teamwork questions during the meal which was a little awkward.

One of the 1 on 1 interviews was an hour-long, generic business case, very minimal calculations and pretty much no feedback from interviewer. At the end, was given the option of choosing economic theory questions (asked about elasticity), regression questions, or graphs/chart reading questions.
Definitely one of the more academic econ consulting firms - many people leave for PhDs so they love talking about research, econometrics, and technical skills
