The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
Started with an online application with questions, no cover letter. Selective online assessment, fairly straightforward. The next stage is a telephone interview with the external recruiter, a blend of motivational and technical questions. The technical questions were focused on Tech and Digital Infrastructure, as Torch focuses on this. Competency questions were straightforward, usuals.

Interview
My interviews were partly behavioural & motivational and partly technical. I was asked the usual questions about my motivation for investment banking, the firm and scenarios where I faced a challenge. The technicals were along the lines of valuing a mature FinTech startup, explaining why precedent transactions give a higher valuation than comparable companies, etc. There was also a brain teaser of the estimation kind, where I had to predict the number of takeaway orders in Manchester on a Friday evening.
Interview Questions
A question that caught me off guard was when I was asked how I would value a mature FinTech startup.
