Interview
There were multiple rounds of case studies and had to meet all the investment professionals. Those meetings consisted of personality type questions as well as market sizing / top-down modeling constructs and deal related questions (from resume)
Interview Questions
The top-down revenue build for housing market was the most difficult on-the-fly question. It tested understanding of drivers of macro trends (household formations, disposable income, inventory, construction, etc). Other than that, the case study questions were very difficult and really tested understanding of industry, competitive strategy and valuation. In later iterations of the case, the case study was also used to test finance theory (ie why not lower your cost of capital by adding debt, etc).
