Summer Analyst (Energy)

Saw the posting reopen very late and started reaching out to everyone in that location. After 4 coffee chats, one of the people I spoke to reached out to me inviting me to 1st round. The interview was 2 parts, 1st behavioral and then technical. Typical behaviors, tell me about a time, why 5/3, why this group ETC. The technicals were way more accounting-heavy & industry-focused than typical IB interviews. Didn't ask many typical IB question like walk me through a DCF, it was more if X happens, how does it affect X? Also asked about some things that were happening in the industry and my opinion it.
