Interview
very fit based, wanted to see what my interests were in finance and wanted to take on people who were willing to learn above all else
Interview Questions
most difficult question was situational, asking me what businesses in the area i would consider to be a good PE investment. wanted more than just a general explanation of what makes a PE investment, but he wanted to hear why int he context of that business i thought it was a good idea.

he asked some behaviorals too, really surprised me at how much it was based on fit more than anything. the internship was unpaid and he allowed us to work remotely in order to do it during the year too so that we could learn more.

Phone Interview
Interview
It was a phone interview for this case. It was with one of the partners and last about 40 mins with a set of behavioural, technical and case-oriented questions. Nothing too bad.
Interview Questions
There were three things that were different from most interviews I did. First, they asked me to go through what I knew about the company (in terms of their mission, their strategy and their current portfolio). Then they asked me to discuss their criteria for a company and why it was a good criterion (or why it was bad if you thought so). Finally, they asked to do a small case on a made-up company. They give you a scenario where one company had debt financing and one had equity financing and you had discussed which of the two options were better from a financial and managerial perspective.
