Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
I was contacted about this opening through a recruiter. It appears that I was brought in late in the process. I had a phone interview with one of the acquisition team leaders. She asked me to walk her through my resume and my experiences. She would ask question when I brought up certain examples, probably to make sure I knew what I was talking about. In the middle of me explaining my resume she asked me a quick math question (what is 60% of 60) That caught me off guard because it was out of left field. I got the answer correct, but it seemed like an odd question.

After walking her through my experience, she explained a bit of what the role would entail and walked me through Ventas' history. She asked what questions I had, and we talked about group structure, career path, etc.

At the end of the call she said she thought everything went really well and asked about my general availability to come in and meet the team the following week. (This was on a Thursday). I responded I'd have to check my calendar and would get back to her the following day. When I followed up on Friday with my availability, i was informed another candidate had accepted their offer and the position was filled.

Overall, it was a pretty conversational interview. The math question was the only real curve ball. This REIT focuses on medical properties and it should be noted I had no prior experience with these types of properties.
Interview Questions
The hardest question that was asked was the math question because it came out of nowhere. "What is 60% of 60?" The answer obviously is 36 and I got that question correct. I'm not sure who they were expecting to trip up with that question.
