Interview
Sent an email to the company with my resume, they invited me in to interview. Met with the senior advisor and we got along so he invited me back to speak with an analyst and a current intern. After that I talked with the CEO and a person that was visiting the bank from another division.
Interview Questions
Talk me through a DCF, what is a PE firm, how are the financial statements connected, what do you want to get out of this, do you know any of our deals, how is a discount rate calculated. I am forced to write at least 500 characters for this field, not sure why. Like I said, they're just trying to see how familiar with the basics you are, you don't need to be an expert. An intern I worked with did not even study finance so she didnt know a lot of terms, but was totally fine and it didnt matter in the end.
