Interview Questions
If you look at a clock and the time is 3:15, what is the angle between the hour and the minute hands? I was caught off guard but then realized that this is a simple question. I made a mental picture of an analog clock in my head, and divided 360 by 12 to get the amount of degrees between each of the hours. Then, i divided 30 by 4 to get the angle between the hour hand (which is slightly past the 3) and the minute hand (which is exactly on the 3). The answer was 7.5 degrees. Other questions involved excel, which is easy to prepare for.

Phone Interview
Interview
I applied through a staffing firm in Boston. In addition to my resume, the company also asked for standardized scores.
Interview Questions
I got a message from a staffing agency about a technical phone interview with the company. The interview is essentially a test to see your analytical and problem solving skills. There were a couple of cases that involved very simple maths and basic knowledge on options, and a couple of cases that involved knowledge on probabilities. So brush up on them!

Be sure to ask clarifying questions to understand the scenarios better. And don't be afraid to ask for guidance if you are stuck- it's better to ask than to try making baseless assumptions.

You start with a dollar, and have a jar of 100 marbles. 50 red marbles, 50 blue marbles. If the last marble you pull out is red, then you earn $10. If it's blue, you lose $1. You can also bet for any marble before the last marble and if that next marble is red, you earn $9, and lose $1 if it's blue.
