The Wesleyan University Investments Office offers guidance and makes recommendations to the Investment Committee in the ongoing management, evaluation and growth of the University’s Endowment. The primary objective of the Wesleyan Endowment is to provide enduring support for the academic mission of the University by releasing a sustainable and reliable flow of funds to the operating budget. In this manner the Endowment both enhances the long term financial stability of the School, and supports a “margin of excellence” in programs, personnel and facilities not otherwise achievable. The Wesleyan endowment will be invested for a long-term maximum return objective with appropriate consideration to controlling risk and providing for the University’s cash needs.
