Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Applied through diversity (Fast Track to IB program) and had a first-round interview with a 2nd year analyst in the tech group. Interview was mostly behavioral with a markets question (What's going on in M&A) thrown in and lasted ~30 minutes. Heard back the same week and got to attend the Fast Track Program where we learned about the firm and had networking sessions/dinner with bankers. Next day was the super day composed of 4 30 minute interviews with a 15 minute break in between the first 2 and last 2. Interviewers were an MD, VP, Associate, and Director with each of them looking for different things. The MD interview was mainly behavioral and asked about an industry that you've been following along with trends and competitive advantages that a company in the industry can have to differentiate. VP was a mix of behavioral questions and a case study where you had to consider Porter's Five Forces and other qualitative and quantitative characteristics that bring the business value. Associate was mostly technical with a paper LBO case study (broken down step by step). Director was all behavioral with questions focused on what-if scenarios and being able to critically evaluate yourself (what's the best feedback you've received?).
