The number you see in the middle of the doughnut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
First round was brief phone interview with head of research (normal background questions, he was cool), next was an interview with the head analyst and one guy on their team (mostly background, not many technical questions, I liked both of them), then a take home case study which I believe took an hour or two, it was essentially updating a model with earnings release and answering 3 or 4 questions about it, it wasn't complicated but took me longer than it should have, I received one response to a follow up email after the case study but didn't hear back after that

Interview
I applied to the job online and received a call from the director of research within a week. I then had an interview with a current associate and then had to perform an excel test.
Interview Questions
Why do you want to move from the buy-side to the sell-side? Most people make the reverse move. What functions do you use in excel? How many hours a week do you think you use excel? What would you use a pivot table for with a table full of raw data? What is your current market view and what is your outlook for the future? What industry/sector are you interested in most? What experience do you have under high pressure situation? What is an example of experience you have managing deadlines and meeting them?

Interview
After an internal contact passed along my information to the firm, HR called me about a week later. From there I had in person interviews with the team, followed up by a writing / modeling test within the course of a week. I then met the department head and got the offer on the spot. So all in all, about 3 weeks.
Interview Questions
The interview itself was fairly easy. The far more critical component came from the writing and modeling test. The modeling test involved modeling two companies within an 8 hour period (it was an at-home test) and after emailing it back with them checking it, I then had to build a merger template with multiple features.

With respect to the writing test, it was basically drafting an earnings report within 45 minutes (they sent it to me at a prescheduled time and I was basically tied to the timestamp in terms of when I needed to send the final product back). All in all, without a reasonable degree of experience in research, I don't think the average individual would be able to complete these easily.
