How to Describe New Position on a Resume

I started an internship about a week ago, but I am unsure of how to / whether to include it on my resume for the purposes of applying for a junior year IB internship. If I have received a description of the general tasks I will be working on, is it alright to include that in the description? Should I use past or future tense for this (the argument for past tense is readability and consistency).
