Bougie Experiences Abroad?

Assuming things back to semi-normal later in the year or early next year, any bougie experiences abroad?

A trip last year involved staying a weekend in south of France, taking a helicopter to Monaco and spending a weekend there.

An idea would be to visit Italy and spend some time in Modena to test drive ferraris.

Any other cool bougie ideas you've done?

What makes you think that things will be normal within the year or even early next year? Things will not be normal until there is a vaccine. My MD even commented negatively about an analyst talking about flight deals on a zoom call - you come off uneducated and selfish when you say shit like this, and it makes people question your judgment

P.s. I've noticed that it's always indeed the middle class that actively seeks out things like yachts and helicopters and infinity pools. Gauche af

Lol, as a person who works in aviation finance, i can assure you that travel will eventually come back. There's already recovery in china. US is slowly gearing up for summer domestic travel.

Please read the news, or better yet, pass it along to your MD

It's not an argument of when planes will fly again. It's a matter of your not giving a fuck about other people who might not be as low risk as you and possibly carrying it with you to every place in which you step foot. I am sure your intent is to just get away for a bit, but it communicates that you think that your boredom is more important than other people's lives

I'll zip over to Hungary every now and then for a good, old-fashioned game of boar on the floor

You don't need to ride a ferrari in Italy to have a "bougie" travelling experience. Seeing another country's culture, museums, history, nightlife, is one of the most extraordinary things one can do.

I'll take staying in a hostel for 5 days and getting to know locals, culture, history, and club scene over riding lambos in a foreign country and eating at only Michelin star restaurants any day.

Dove with whale sharks in Indonesia, partied / gambled with locals in Singapore, did shrooms on a Thai island, and watched midgets box in Manila. Best trip of my life.
