WSO is a great resource for students and young professionals who are looking to get into finance to learn the ins and outs. It was a great resource for me before I applied to business school and I continue to both contribute to and learn from the site many years later.

As a non-traditional student at a non-target school, WSO gave me the resources to perfect my networking abilities and prepare for interviews at literally any financial firm. I continue to use those timeless interview skills to this day, after 10 years in my career, and I now pass them along to up-and-comers. The website is great, but I am no longer active. Truthfully I had much more use for the service as an undergrad than I do now. Back then it was helpful as an additional source of color re: recruiting, etc., but now there’s nothing less I would like to do in my (minimal) free time than read posts about my industry. Obviously many others feel differently, this is just my $.02.
